Why Marachekku Oil
1  Why no to Refined Oil
Refined Oil backed by vigorous media campaigns, had almost done away with traditionally extracted oil. Refined Oil is made by highly intensive mechanical & chemical processes to extract the oil from the seeds. This process removes natural nutrients and denatures the active compound. The consumption of vegetable oil created through chemical process is linked to widespread inflammation within the body, elevated blood triglycerides, and an impaired insulin response .These oils have been linked to diabetes, cancer & heart disease in multiple studies. Refining means “purify” meaning oil is treated with acid, neutralized, filtered. All of which require chemicals like hexane.
2  Why marachekku oil Essential
When it comes to eating healthy, it starts with what you are cooking with. The way that oil is extracted has a direct effect on how the oil taste in your food and the amount of nutrients it has to offer. Using heat to extract the oil produces more of it, but heat can degrade the oil flavor & nutritional quality. Marachekku oil retain its biological properties that it was in its original form and authentic to nature.
3  Spot the Original
If your cooking oil does not have taste, then your oil is refined. Marachekku oil as cold pressed has strong flavor. Unrefined oil taste like fruit they are extracted from. As refined oil passes chemical processes, they are free of color, devoid of impurities, smell and referred to as “Neutral”.
4  Why cholesterol vital to our body
Cholesterol is a waxy fat like substance that found in all cells of the body. Your body needs some cholesterol to make hormones, vitamins D, and substance that help you digest foods. Cholesterol also helps in formation of your memories and is vital for neurological function. Marachekku groundnut oil is high in monosaturated “GOOD” fat and low in saturated “BAD” fat which helps to prevent heart disease and lowers cholesterol. Marachekku sesame oil is low in saturated “BAD” fat, which also helps prevent high cholesterol.
5  Master the concealed Truth
When commercially manufactured, Molasses is added to the oil, to mask its natural bitterness. To bring down the cost, the oil manufacturer also mix liquid paraffin made from crude oil. In general, adulteration of edible oil-blending cheaper oil with premium oil –has always been a profitable business for unscrupulous players. Higher the price of premium oil greater the propensity to adulterate it with low priced oil. For ages, raw groundnut oil-the premium cooking medium –had been mixed with castor oil to the extent 5-10% since it used to be the cheapest vegetable oil in the country and groundnut oil the most expensive. In the two years there have been reports of high priced refined sunflower oil mixed with cheaper oil.
6  Why marachekku oil is costlier than Refined oil
The Low yield is because the oil seed are not heated to increase the yield, and the oil that is expelled is cold and pure. During cold extraction, seeds are ground to a paste which is fed into a grinder. As 10 to 15% of oil will remain in the press cake after milling, this procedure is quite expensive.
